Donna Downey and Prima have just created a fabulous new range of canvas products, which are sure to be popular for the latter part of 2010. We will give you a head start as tonight we teach you the techniques we were taught by Donna Downey herself during CHA Chicago 2010 to create some fabulous canvas layouts. For those of you who enjoy distress inks, they may well be making a brief appearance in this class, as will a special bonus technique of photo transfer!

We will take the opportunity tonight to embellish a photo frame using the supplies available. This is a great workshop for you to play with our supplies and to have fun whilst creating this fancy photo frame – you may even pick up some new techniques which you can go on to use in your chosen craft.

Calling all cardmakers and scrapbookers. Are you up for a challenge? Well, make sure you book onto ‘Kit Club’ this evening as you are given a kit of co-ordinating papers and embellishments to create with in this evenings session. Make with your kit whatever you wish, cards, scrapbook layouts, mini books or more..... . This will be a great evening to meet other crafters and to draw inspiration from each other and as an added bonus; any items not used within the workshop are yours to take away with you! We can’t wait to see what you create. You will be notified of the colour scheme of the kit approx 2 weeks (please leave your e-mail address so we can contact you) before the event, so that Scrapbookers can bring photographs to use in their project. There is no teaching as such involved within this workshop, this is a chance to let your imagination run wild and challenge yourself to create what you can with your kit in just 2hours!

We LOVE our melt pot and after tonight, we think you will too (especially when you see the gorgeous ‘porcelain like flowers’ we will create!!!) Join us as we use the Melt Pot to create our own piece of mixed media art. You will learn all the techniques of the Melt Pot, including the use of beeswax and utee to create your own collages and embellishments. The possibilitys with the Melt Pot are endless – just think, once mastered you could create central pieces for cards, unique embellishments for Scrapbook layouts, layered backgrounds or funky beads for your jewellery!

Tonight’s Jewellery Making Project will not only teach you how to create your own fabulous charm bracelet, but you will also use Shrink Plastic along with punches, stamps and more to create your own adorable charms! This really is two workshops in one and a way to make your own unique jewellery! From tonight’s workshop you’ll be able to take away the jewellery making techniques which you learn to create other items of jewellery and the Shrink Plastic ideas to create embellishments for papercraft projects or charms for keyrings, jewellery and more! (You could even go on to make your own Xmas decorations!!!)

Using beautiful papers you will be taught the construction to create your own tag book which will be bound with beautiful ribbons. You will then be shown the simple method of creating co-ordinating tags which can be embellished with your choice of supplies (as provided), journaling or photographs. Once you have learnt the technique of creating this book, why not use it to create your own unique cards and envelopes!?!
