Just Beautiful…
Some of you that met us at Birmingham NEC may well remember this beautiful layout by Chris Asprey of our design team. This layout is 1 of 3 that Chris completed for our last challange, using the Paradise papers from Prima.Just like Sharon’s projects, I think Chris must have inspired you all as we now only have very limited stock of this collection left!
Chris always takes some beautiful photos, this scrapbook page really shows off her Camera skills with the delicate flowers. Chris has kept to the flower theme all throughout the layout, layering a large cut flower for the central background. She has also used one of our favorite Prima Flowers, which has diamantes in the middle – Prima have really stepped up the gear this year and are producing so many gorgeous flowers, more than you could ever think possible!!!

Chris has also used a Pearl flourish from Prima, which are so easy to use, it is unbelievable! It just peels right off the backing and hey presto, you can adhere to whatever you like! Don’t you just agree that it looks like Chris has spent hours and hours placing those pearls in exactly the right position! Little do they know….
It’s these kind of tips and tricks which make our crafting easier but still oh so addictive! Well Done Chris, for an absolutly lovely layout with great photography – now where’s my camera……………..
Where In the World….
Well for some of you who saw us at the NEC Birmingham, you may well know the answer to this question!
A little clue maybe?
Well this was a scrapbook page designed by Sharon of our design team….
Does that help? Maybe another….
This is the view from her bedroom window… A beautiful Sunset October 13th 2009
It is ofcourse, Yeovil!
Wow! Isn’t that gorgeous. A very very beautiful photo, matched by a rather lovely layout. Sharons challange was to use some of the new prima papers and embellishments from the collection Tropics.
Theses proved such a hit at Birmingham that we have very nearly sold out of every sheet! There are a few remaining if you are quick!
Sharons other layout, ‘Hold My Hand’ – (don’t you just love the unique titles Sharon uses) just oozes with all the hardwork and creativity Sharon has used to complete this layout. Look at the beautiful centre circle….look closely…can you see just how many sequins Sharon has used to complete this layout, tirelessy adhering each one. But boy, it was definatly worth it – the colors and shape just match the whole layout perfectly.
These are my favorite flowers in the Whole Wide World of Papercrafting!!!!!! Look at the adorable stitched elements to the papers too – aren’t they just beautiful.
A K&Co tag – again slightly altered by Sharon to tie in beautifully with her layout. This tag incorporates beautiful stitching, gems and ribbon – oh so cute!!
Thankyou Sharon for two fantastic layouts, they have certainly inspired us and we hope they have inspired you too!
Animal Bash Fun!
The design team challange we gave to Kate Taylor, was to create papercraft projects using the Animal Bash Papers and embellishments from Prima!

We also found a pack of gorgeous fancy pants rub-ons, which tied in perfectly. You can see how Kate has used one of these rub-ons in the card below:
Isn’t it lovely!
Whenever we receive Kates projects we are also very excited as she tends to step away from the traditional and include different altered items! One we received this month was a diary, which had been covered with the papers and embellished – isn’t that a lovely idea as a little present.
We also loved this wall hanging:
Kate has inked the edges, used pattern paper to draw the eyes to the photo and used beautiful Prima flowers to embellish.Again, Kate has chosen to step away from the traditional 12″ x 12″ background which is often used by Scrapbookers, but it has worked well as your eye is really drawn in the photo.
This artist trading card also shows of the patterned papers and flower rub-ons. We love the theme of teared paper in this collection of Kates work.
Here is a traditional scrapbook page – 12″ x 12″ from Kate, using the Animal Bash papers. Kate has used thickers for the title and cut animals from other Animal Bash papers to make this her own.
Well Done Kate, some great designs, which hopefully has inspired and given a few ideas to some of you!!! We have some more projects lined up from our design team members, which will be loaded over the coming days. We also have something VERY VERY exciting in the pipeline for early next year! Stunning Cards by Shirley!
As promised here are some of the fantastic cards that were created by Shirley Toogood – Design Team member, using papers from ‘Inspire Me’ and ‘Me & My Big Ideas’. She also used some gorgeous flower stamps from Darkroom Door. Her task was to use mostly black & white – although we did put a splash of a couple of colours in for her to play with!
Heres a little look at the box of Goodies that Shirley received through the post;

Now for some of Shirleys gorgeous cards that were created with those lovely goodies
Don’t you just love the cute ribbon on the pot and all the handcut flowers!
What about this sassy handcut lady? This picture really shows off the fantastic embossed card from ‘Inspire Me’.
Our favorite here at Creative Moments, we feel the beautiful ribbon butterflies really compliment the striking patterned paper from ‘Me & My Big Ideas’ – the blue hold punched circles add a touch of flight to the card as well!
Another beautiful handcut flower!
These scallops on the edge of this card are rather wonderful too!
Aren’t these cards by Shirley really fanatstic?! We have some more lovely projects from our design team members to show you as well – so watch out as we have some beautiful scrapbook pages and some gorgeous jewellery coming up!

Birthday Suprises
Well today, we have a little treat for you – some gorgeous makes from Sandra Fox of our design Team! Her theme for our latest challange, was Birthdays and we absolutly love this collection of cards, especially the shaker card that she created!
With the scallop edges and cute tied ribbon down the side, this card has a lovely soft feel to it! We also love the Hero Art Stamps that Sandra has used to create the centre embellishment. They are so versatile they could be used time and time again!
This square card follows the scallop and ribbon theme and is a great variation of the first card – we especially like the four scallops that create the centre embellishment on this card, which is just paper cut and layered together!
A lovely girly card! Again cute polka-dot ribbon and another versitile Hero Arts stamp!
Sandra has done even more cards….but you’ll have to log-on in the next few days to see some more………………………..
What would you make with a box load of goodies?!?

Well, Natalie from our Design team can show you!!! Natalie was sent this box of goodies, just a few weeks back and look at the gorgeous cards we have recieved back!
Natalie has really thought about about color combinations and the layout of the cards – keeping them simple but oh so cute!!! The buttons and ribbon add a fantastic little accent to the cards as does the delicate embossing Natalie has used her cuttlebug folders for!
Here again, Natalie has layered several different papers which have been mounted to give a clean finish. She has then used a Sizzix True Love Valentine Stamp to create the main centrepiece of the card!
Beautiful Inspire Me Flock Paper and Bazzill ‘Just the Edge’ Stripes finish this card off well!
We love the Buttons and stamped image on this embossed Inspire Me Card.
A great collection of cards from Natalie, using the Valentine papers from American Crafts! Well Done Natalie, they are all perfect! We can’t wait to see what you create next! Keep your eyes peeled on our blog to discover just what Shirley Toogood created using this box of Supplies…..

Workshops!
We were joined by some lovely customers last week for two fantastic workshops, ‘Earrings’ and ‘Calender’. The workshops were full of fun and we experimented with everything from wire & headpins to color sprays & alcohol inks! These workshops are open to all and held on a variety of evenings from 7pm -9pm within our shop.
We are currently devising our workshop listing for the New Year, which will be brimming with new and exciting projects for both jewellery makers and crafters. Due to the success of recent shows, Creative Moments will be exhibiting at 8 craft shows between January & April 2010(Exter, Shepton Mallett, Farnbourough, London Excel, London Olympia, Malvern, London, Birmingham NEC) therefore we will be running a limited number of workshops during this time, so if you’re eager to learn then now’s definatly the time to book on a course as we don’t want you to miss out on all the fun!!!
