We had a great workshop on Thursday night creating these gorgeous bracelets. This was one of the most challanging workshops of yet as it incorporated not one but two contemporary bracelet strands joined together. Using tigertail, chain, crimping, wire-work, rivoli settings and more – it really was a technique packed class! Never having picked up any jewellery making pliers before, Hazel was new to Jewellery Making and at her first workshop-look at just how well she did!

Isn’t it just gorgeous! And look at Amanda’s fantastic bracelet too – we absolutly love the colors she has used for this one:

It is so hard to convey just how much the Swarovski Crystals were sparkling in this picture! Well Done Ladies, fantastic efforts and we hope you enjoyed your evening with us!

Yesterday was a day full of little suprises – not only did we receive the absolutly beautiful Texture Boutique from Sizzix but we had a few other suprises! Just as the delivery lady was going out through the door, she nearly tripped over another delivery man who was carrying a lovely box full  of new Kanban bits and pieces. I absolutly love the Owls! (picture coming soon!) Five minutes later, we couldn’t believe our luck when yet another delivery of the New Crate Paper releases – “Season” and “Cottage” were delivered. We tore open the boxes and couldn’t wait to see all the new bits and pieces – we can guarentee we had cleared a space and put it all on the shelves asap – if anything just to have a better look!

Here is the new papers, all ready for their first customer in their new home-we don’t think they’ll be staying long though!

Aren’t they both just fab – and both completely different in style and color! And thats not it -there’s even more papers that I couldn’t quite fit into the picture! Ok, so thats the paper but just look at these adorable embellishments.

Starting from just £2.10 for a whole pack – these are definatly affordable and a great way to enhance your creations – be it cards or scrapbooking. We think these pieces would look great on both!

On Monday night we had a great workshop looking at different tecniques for using the gorgeous flowersoft. Here are the sample cards created by Claire.

The bouquets are really easy to make using just wire, flowersoft and glue! Flowersoft is available in so many different colors and mixes, they now even have ‘Polar white’ which is a pure white flowersoft – ideal for all those snowmen, polar bears and snow scenes this Christmas!

Tonight we have scrap and chat from 7pm until 9pm which is always great fun! Tomorrow evening (Thursday) we will be holding our Jewellery making workshop creating a modern bracelet using swarovski rivolis and chain…..

More often than not you’ll find Creative Moments, gracing the pages of all your favorite magazines! This month is no exception and we are gracing the pages of three magazines which has been published in the last couple of weeks! First up was one of Margaret’s recent card creation in Simply Cards and Papercrafts Free Designer Cards Book!

This was shortly followed by Beads & Beyond, where one of our fabulous workshop guests won the ’star letter’ prize! So a big thanks goes to Jane who gave us a mention in her Star Letter

Friday saw Scrapbook Inspirations published where by we had a WHOLE page all to ourselves!!!!!!!!! We were featured as the Club of the Month for our Scrap & Chat Sessions! Wow! What a wonderful demonstration we had yesterday! Claire was joined by the lovely Sara to create some beautiful pieces of jewellery. We showed all who visited the most popular jewellery making technique of all - how to create loops using head-pins and then how to attch this onto chain. We had a great time and hope that you all learnt how easy it was too! We even let some of our visitors create their own pair of quick earrings just to prove how easy it can be to create your own jewellery! Here are a few pictures of the event for you:

Smile for the camera! – Check out Claires gorgeous Silver Heart necklace, complete with Swarovski, Pearl and Green/Blue Mix Beads. Even the earrings match!

Beautiful Bracelets! Can you guess whose is the pink? Yes, you guessed it – it was Claires! True to form Claire reverted to type with her favorite color! We do love Sara’s orange mix – perfect for those Autumn outfits!

How we absolutly love this cool picture after everybody left! So cool! Well we’re of to play with the new i-top tool, glimmer mists and new PINK Big Bite which came in on friday – we’ll blog tomorrow and show you some of our creations.

Our next design team member is Sara who many of you may have met after she offered to help at our Jewellery Making Demo earlier today! Here are a few words from Sara,

“Hi my name is Sara.  I have been making Jewellery for about 18 months, since finding the evening courses run by Claire at the Creative Moments Yeovil shop.  I haven’t Looked back since and now spend every spare minute with my beads and wire.  I can’t wait to start designing for the Creative Moments Design Team and get my hands on all the new beads and findings”.

Sara sent in two wonderful creations, we love the two different color combinations that she used and the mix of wire and ribbon on the first! Here entrys really helped to showcase her wide range of skills.

As you may know we are holding a Jewellery Making Demo today between 11am and 3pm – throughout this time we will be giving a 10% discount off all jewellery making supplies including beads and findings! See you there!

There was lots of excitement yesterday as we had a large shimpment arrive of the fantastic Glimmer Mists – including the Limited Edition Winter and Autumn Sprays. The colors are absolutly gorgeous and work just like a dream! Here is a beautiful butterfly which we created using a few of the sprays and one of the masks really quickly last night.

Isn’t it beautiful -just look how flawless the blue background is! Imagine this as a background for a card or scrapbook page…oooh! The options are endless! If you want to have a play with the Glimmer Mists, we are holding a workshop, where you will make your own calender (using the Bind It All Machine as well as the Glimmer Mists) on Thursday 12th November 2010 from 7pm until 9pm. There are only a couple of spaces left on this workshop, so let us know if you want to book a place.

The Glimmer Mists – as well as some beautiful beads will be uploaded onto the Website today, so watch out for all the yummy colors!!!
