How exciting! The BIG BIG Project we have been working is now finally finalised, ready for it’s release at Exeter and Cardiff Craft Shows this week and next!

Drum Roll please for……………………..SCRAP-A-MIA!!!!!

This is a weekend event for scrappers everywhere! The best bit – wait for it……. (can you tell just how excited we are?!?!) is we have secured 5 fabulous celebrity scrapbookers!

Yes!! I still can’t quite believe how it has all came together and our favorite scrapbookers are joining us. Take a look – I gaurentee if you are a scrapper you will know these names!!!!!!!

SHIMELLE LAINE – You have probably spotted Shimelle in Scrapbook Inspirations where she contributes to regulary. She is also a designer for Banana Frog Stamps and Two Peas in a Bucket. You will be wowed by some of Shimelles creations!

JANE DEAN – Another regular in Papercraft and Scrapbooking Magazines, Jane designs for Scrapbook Inspirations and Papercraft Inspirations and creates some contemporary altered art projects as well as traditional layout pages and other papercraft creations!

KIRSTY WISEMAN – The lovely Kirsty is sure to put you at ease throughout the weekend. Spot Kirsty’s very own column in Crafts Beautiful, where you can pick up some great crafting tips. Kirsty also has love for photography and will be offering mini-photo sessions for each student (at an additional cost) so they can scrapbook the most important person of all……themselves!

 CLEO JARVIS - We absolutly love Cleo’s style of scrapbooking and can understand how she won runner up of Scrapbooker of the year! She is sure to inspire your style of scrapping!

 IFA ZAINON – Ifa won ‘Scrapbooker of the year 2007′ and sits on the design team for Scrapbook Magazine. She lots using stamps, paints and getting messy! We absolutly love her scrapbook pages which feature watercolor – she makes them look so easy!!!!!

Join us for the weekend in the beautiful setting of New Place,  to learn from the best ‘Celebrity Scrappers’.  If anybody can show you how to create, it’s definitely these ladies! Hand picked for been the best, each of these scrappers are well-known within the industry, regularly appearing in Scrapbook and Papercraft magazines, such as Crafts Beautiful, Scrapbook Inspirations, Scrapbook Magazines, Papercraft Inspirations and more………………

 You will go away with some amazing projects, which will be created in workshops with each teacher. Workshops will be small allowing you quality time to learn from each celebrity teacher, getting them to show you all their  secrets of scrapbooking including fabulous techniques, inspirational styles and new ideas. Each teacher will teach you a very different project from layouts to mini-books and more………. You will use a range of materials from paints and stamps to fabric and die-cutting machines……….making this an ideal event to challenge the existing scrapbooker and teaching the new! 

Kirsty will also be offering the chance for you to have a mini photoshoot*—with plenty of locations to choose from in the 32 acres of Park Land at New Place. There will also be a shop on site which will be packed full of goodies available to buy throughout the weekend with lots of exclusive special offers!!!  With so much to  offer and more surprises planned this really is the

Scrapbookers Event of the Year!

Welcome to Chris as our Design Team Member 4!

“Hi, My name is Chris and I started scrapbooking 3 years ago. I have always enjoyed taking photos and resisted the temptation to scrapbook for a while thinking it might be addictive. It is, ofcourse, but what a delightful hobby. I love it and am very excited at being a member of the Design Team for Creative Moments and hope you will enjoy some of my creations”.

Chris sent in two fantastic projects. One a beautiful mini-book and the second a fantastic scrapbook page. This book was made from scratch by Chris, who had decorated it beautifully.

She has used so many different techniques on this project from Fabric trims to punches and vellum, there is even a secret little envelope!

We also love the way she has softened the edges on the photos by rounding them off – the detail is this book really is second to none!

Well Done Chris – we are looking forward to seeing your first Piggy Tales Hide & Seek Book Project.

Welcome to Sharon as Design Team Member 3!

“I’m Sharon, I have been scrapbooking for about three years, after reading a magazine about it and seeing it on TV. My inspiration is usually my children and our everyday lives. My favorite manufacturers are K&Co and Daisy D’s. I love stamps and have just brought a Cricut Expression, which is great for all scrapbook pages! I feel very honoured to be part of the Creative Moments Design Team and look forward to showcasing their very latest products and what can be achieved by using them.”

Sharon wowed us with her circle chipboard mini-book.

We love the Black and White Theme running throughout the book as well as the reaccuring circle theme.

Sharon also created a beautiful scrapbook page paying lots of attention to the detail. Sharons first project will be a handbag mini book and we can’t wait to see what she creates for this.

We are glad to introduce you to Sandra from Somerset who loves experimenting and creating works of art.

We absolutly loved this cute card that she made as part of her entry.

Just look at these beautiful pearls Sandra has used to accentuate the scallops of the circle as well as the little dragonfly and delicatly placed flowers.

Absolutly beautiful!

Entrys for the design team are still coming in thick and fast!!! So thankyou for everybody who has entered so far, the standard of entrys has been amazing and we have had great difficulty in choosing! We shall be announcing the next new design team member in the next few days!!!

It was also exciting today to recieve lots of brand new goodies following the recent CHA show in Orlando, Florida!!! I have started loading these onto the website this afternoon and have taken a whole bag brimmed with new products home to play with (and of course make the very important samples for the up and coming shows at the end of this month and next)!!!!! Heres a sneak peak of some of the new products, all brand new releases!!

We are also expecting a large delivery from Prima within the next few days featuring some gorgeous flowers, beautiful papers and lovely embellishments! It feels like christmas already!!!

Our newest workshop listing, was released yesterday and now takes us right up to Christmas – we have squeezed in lots of classes for you all, ranging from Canvases – with the yummy Claudine Hellmuth Paints we have on order to Fashion Jewellery!

Myself and Margaret have been working on a BIG, BIG project in the last few weeks and hopefully all the details will soon be revealed. It is very exciting and I can hardly contain myself to keep it a secret much longer, but I must until all the details have been finalised. Keep watching our blog to ensure you are the first to be in the know!!!
