Sizzix & Cricut Invites

Obies InvitesThe last 2 days has been spent, making these fantastic looking invites! They were made very simply, using both the Big Shot Machine and Cricut Expression.  The cards were cut using a rectangle from the ‘George and Basic Shapes’ Cartridge which was folded in half. Patterned paper was then cut using the Big Shot machine, to create a Scallop Rectangle. This was adhered onto the plan card. The letters for the word ‘Invite’ were cut and embossed using the Lindsey Diary Die and adhered into the bottom right hand corner. Cupcakes were cut using the new Cupcake die for the Sizzix and adhered into place.

These cards just go to show what a difference it can make to have different elements of the card in different colors. This can be a great design exercise to try the next time you make a set of cards, you’ll be suprised at the results!

Sizzix T-shirt!

What great fun, I had on Monday evening creating this gorgeous t-shirt made using our favorite sizzix dies! It was so easy to create and looks fantastic. All I did was iron some Bondaweb onto different fabrics and cut shapes out of them using the Big Shot Machine. I then ironed my fabric shapes onto my plain t-shirt to create this designer piece! How cool is that!? I thought I’d hand stitch around the butterfuly, using Bazzill In Stitch, needle and thread to add detail to the piece and give it another dimension. I have a feeling I could be experimenting with this for a very long time!sizzix-tshirt-004

Tiara

Bridesmaid TiarasWith the wedding fast approaching! I stayed up late last night creating the all important tiaras for the bridesmaids! I am so pleased with how these have come out and the colors which I used, which match their dresses exactly. We have had a lovely jewellery making 1-1 this morning with some stunning jewellery been created in lovely blue, turquoise and silver swarovski. We also have a great time with the hammer creating some elegant earrings and shapes to begin a necklace.
