Another fab week at Creative Moments
Wow! What a week – everyday I kept meaning to come and update our blog, but got carried away with so many other jobs! Inkeeping with the magazines, Margaret has been busy designing cards for yet another magazine, so keep your eyes peeled for her ‘Hello Kitty’ card due out in the coming months! We also had a FANTASTIC 2nd Week of our Art Clay Silver Workshop on Tuesday night where everybody created some amazing pieces. I am so proud of all of the creations below which the group designed and made themselves (with a little help during the firing process). Here are a few piccies from the evening which were taking through sheer excitement as to how well all the pieces had turned out. Many thanks to Janes lovely niece who came to our rescue and took these pictures on her camera after I had no memory card with me for mine!!

First up is Janes, beautiful teardrop shaped pendant and earring set, which had some lovely intricate detailing to the centre of each piece . Jane worked hard polishing nd burnishing these pieces amazingly well to really bring up the silver shine and make the pieces look very professional!

- Sue’s Hearts
A gorgeous set of Heart jewellery made by Sue, using two different sized heart cutters. Sue has textured these in a lovely manner to give an air of sophistication to the hearts. Here you can see Sue has really made use of the 10grams of Clay provided and made some beautiful matching pieces which I am sure she will wear time and time again.

- Josies Pendants
Josies two pendants both turned out fabulously and allowed her to use a variety of art clay methods including the syringe and paste! We just love the little syringed lines of the leaf and the syringed dome which was teamed up with the earth toned beads to set the necklace off perfectly.

How designer does this bracelet look?!? A lovely statement piece of jewellery was made by our second Sue! She cut a large simple heart from the Art Clay. Then left one side plain which she polished to a mirror shine finish whilst embellishing the other side. Move over ‘Tiffany’!!!!

Any photo of these leaves – made by Lesley - would be unable to convey just how beautiful they really are! In real life they are so delicate looking and each slightly curved and shaped naturally to represent leaves. Lesley created these by painting real leaves with Paste-adding 8 layers to increase the thickness and strength of each. We can’t wait to see how Lesley uses these to create her finished pieces of jewellery!!!!

This was Janes first attempt at Jewellery Making and look how well shes done! She made several pieces, including an ‘A’ Pendant, a leaf Necklace and other leaves to create her own set of earrings. Her leaf necklace is a perfect example of how great the art Clay pieces look when finished with beads to make a complete item.
As you can see Everyone made some great items which will be treasured for a long time! Art Clay has no limit and we are planning further Art Clay workshops in the future such as Stone Setting and Ring Making, so keep your eyes peeled for further information on these!

I’m of to play and have some Bank holiday fun with our NEW ELUSIVE IMAGES STAMPS & TATTERED ANGELS KITS which arrived this morning!!!!!!! (yes, thats right an order arriving on a Saturday!!!!
