Another busy day!

Another busy day at Creative Moments, where we are still unpacking from the show! I have finally managed to load up all the new workshops until the end of june on the website, so make sure you have a look and try something new! There was no workshop last nite, but time was well spent producing a vintage tiara for the fabulous ‘Make Jewellery’ magazine which has been posted and sent off today, ready for its photo shoot. Obviously, we can’t post a picture of the gorgous tiara on here but we will give you a little teaser if you keep your eyes peeled!!!!

We have a beaded bracelet workshop tonight which is guarenteed to be lots of fun with many of our regular ladies. We always have a lovely time with everybody creating their own version of the featured piece of jewellery, inspiring us all to create with a host of different colors, sizes and shapes.

Shepton Mallett Show!

Welcome to our Creative Moments Blog!

A big thankyou to everybody who came and visited us at Shepton Mallett Show! We had a great time and managed to squeeze in a fair bit of demoing between queue busting at the till!

Demo’s included the popular ‘Slice’ machine which drew it’s own small crowd on many occassions, ‘Twiddly Bitz, Melting Pot, Ten seconds studios, Sizzix, Crafty Notions and more! Here are some of the finished articles which were displayed throughout the show!

These Cupcakes which were on display made the mouths water of many!!!! But there was a purpose behind the madness! They demonstrated the Sizzix Cupcake Holders perfectly and allowed us to play with the beautiful K&Co Madeline Papers and Embellishments!

A blue collage made using Beeswax and the melting pot. The possibilitys are endless and so easy to do!

Twiddly Bitz! Boy, do we love these! Lovely detailed and intricate are all words you could use to describe these Chipboard pieces. Here they have been colored using crafty notions sprays, stickles- to add that ever needed glitz, rainbow drops and flowers. We think they look absolutly gorgous adorning the back of our ‘Slice’ stand!

These blocks by Creative Imaginations inspired many throughout the weekend and were made by cutting (or punching as the easier option) squares of K&Co Que Sara Sara paper down to size and adhering on each face of the square with Glossy Accents. They were then embellished with photos and Que Sara Sara Embellishments & faux colored pearls. Tim Holtz distress inks were used to ink around the edge of each block to enhance them even further. My next step is defiantly to do some hidden journaling on the underneath of each block to really complete them & make them into a unqiue piece.

Ten Seconds Studios Metal Embossing has been our latest craze here at Creative Moments for the last couple of weeks! We show it here cut out on the Big Shot Sizzix Machine and embossed with one of the wheels around the edge, ball & cups were used to push out the centre of the flowers and my teflon tool was used to scribble on the back of the heart to emboss the centre section – making in all one funky looking heart with a difference!

This gorgeous purple collage was made by dipping scraps of color co-ordinating Kanban & Dovecraft paper into the Beeswax of the Melting pot and layering onto sturdd card (I have come to find that ‘Bind It all Covers’ are just the right thickness and size!)

Purple Beeswax CollageWe have also just realeased our NEW WORKSHOP LISTING that takes us into June and includes our busiest months so far, with some all day workshops, scrap and chats as well as some day time workshops! Places have already started to fill so make sure you book soon to avoid disappointment!

Now the show has ended and the hard work begins I had best help get the shop back to ‘normal! and upload the workshops onto the site ready for you to book onto!
